IN THE TIME OF HAZRAT MAHDI (AS), SATELLITE IMAGING AND TELEVISION SYSTEMS WILL BE
OF SERVICE TO HIM

When matters are entrusted to competent [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] Almighty Allah will raise the lowest part of the world for him, and lower the highest places. So much that he will see the whole world as if in the palm of his hand. Which of you cannot see even a single hair in the palm of his hand?

(Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 5, p. 328)

With the spread of television and computers in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as), he will enjoy access to the whole world. Peaks and valleys will make no difference, as they will all appear before him on a single screen. By these means, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be able to manage everywhere and preach Islam to the farthest corners of the world.  The hadith refers to this in terms of palm computers, satellite imaging and television systems. By these means, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be able to zoom in on whatever image he wishes so as to be able to make out even a single hair.
