The superior characteristics of the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and their similarities to the Ashab al-Suffa -2-
Some of Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) Helpers Will Know Arabic
HAZRAT MAHDI’S (AS) HELPERS WILL NOT BE ARABS. They will be from other nations. BUT THEY WILL SPEAK ARABIC. (Muhammed ibn Rasul al Huseyin Al Barzanji, Portents of Doomsday, p. 187)
It appears from the information provided in the hadiths that Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) helpers will not be Arabs, but from other nations. Yet they will know Arabic.
Oppression and Difficulties Will Not Wear Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Helpers Down
Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) followers will be fearless in the face of any oppression they are exposed to. Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers will be subjected to persecution, torture and slander from the hypocrites and deniers. But they will never be worn down by this.
The hadith also suggests that court rulings may be issued against Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers. But they will not be affected by such rulings against them, and there will be no slackening in their enthusiasm and the work they undertake for Allah’s approval.
ADNAN OKTAR: “His (Hazrat Mahdi’s (as)) commanders are the most auspicious of people,” says the Prophet (saas), in the Al Qawl al- Muhtasar. “They will be Islamic people who fear no condemnation on the path of Allah.” The Sunan-i Ibn-i Majah, the book of trustworthy hadiths, Vol. 10, p. 259. There will be all kinds of condemnation and gossip about Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers on the TV and radio and in the papers. But will they be affected? Never. They will have no dealing with it at all. What does our Prophet (saas) say? “They will be Islamic people who fear no condemnation on the path of Allah.” They will be that heroic, masha’Allah. “The Messenger of Allah (saas) said: ‘A community from my Ummah will strive on the true path against superstition until Allah’s command is issued, and those who leave them without helpers will do them no harm’.” Sunan Tirmidhi Vol. 4, p. 91. This means there will be those who want to leave them without helpers. What will people do? They will say; “Do not have anything to do with them. The newspapers must not report on them and scholars must not speak to them.” Fanatical bigots and loathsome types like that will emerge and strive against Hazrat Mahdi (as). They will try to isolate him. But will they be able to harm him? No. They will just disgrace themselves. Who says this? The Messenger of Allah (saas) in a book of trustworthy hadiths, the Sunan Tirmidhi...
Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Followers Will Be Most Courageous and Heroic
The followers of the Imam-i Zaman (Hazrat Mahdi (as)) WILL BE BRAVER THAN LIONS AND SHARPER THAN SPEARS. (Mikyaal al-Makaarem, Vol. 1, p. 65)
Their hearts will be STRONGER THAN STEEL. Each one of them will be equal to forty (40) powerful men. (Mikyaal al-Makaarem, vol. 1, p. 65)
Most People Will Shun Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Followers
One hadith refers to the great majority of people failing to properly appreciate the faith of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers.
Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) community will be exposed to many slanders, troubles and difficulties. The great majority of people, afraid of their own interests being affected, will therefore shun Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers.
He said: "Look for them at the edges of the world. THEIR LIVES ARE SIMPLE, THEIR HOMES ARE ON THEIR BACKS, EVEN IF PRESENT THEY ARE NOT RECOGNIZED, IF THEY ARE LOST NONE WILL LOOK FOR THEM, IF THEY ARE SICK NONE WILL VISIT THEM, AND IF THEY WISH TO MARRY NONE WILL COME TO THEM. IF THEY DIE, NONE WILL ATTEND THEIR FUNERALS. THEY SHARE THEIR POSSESSIONS EQUALLY AMONG THEM AND VISIT ONE ANOTHER’S GRAVES; THEIR WISHES ARE ALL THE SAME, EVEN IF THEY ARE IN DIFFERENT CITIES." (Sheikh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Numani, al-Ghaybah al-Numani, p. 238)
ADNAN OKTAR: From our Prophet (saas): “Look for them at the edges of the world. Their lives are simple, their homes are on their backs...” Here today, gone tomorrow. They never stay in one place. They go all over the world. They visit one another’s homes. “Even if present, they are not recognized.” People wonder who they are. But they do not recognize them, may Allah forbid. “If they are lost, none will look for them.” Nobody will look for them as they are not at all valued. And they say that is better for them. “If they are sick, none will visit them.” Nobody will have any dealings with them. “If they wish to marry, none will come to them.” They will warn people off marrying them, saying one would have to be mad to do so, that it will only end in trouble. Don’t even think about it, they will say. Who says they will not marry? Our Prophet (saas). Nobody will want to marry the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as), as they regard them as dangerous. They will conflict with their earthly, worldly interests. They will shun them for fear of the future. “If they wish to marry, none will come to them. If they die, none will attend their funerals.” Best not to go to the funeral in case we are seen there and recognized and end up with a bad name, they will say. “They share their possessions equally among them.” If one has a house he will sell it so they can share the proceeds, or if he has a car he will suggest they share it. If he has a house, he will spend the money from it on Allah’s path. This car is not mine, he will say, it belongs to Allah. I will give it up for Allah’s sake. So use it. My home? Use it as your own. They have no greed for possessions. Yet what the way of the dajjal will most encourage in the End Times is greed for worldly goods. That is absent from the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as). “They visit one another’s graves.” This means that some of them will die, and they will visit their graves. “Their wishes are all the same, even if they are in different cities.” It will not seem as if they are separated, though one lives in Baghdad, for instance, and another somewhere else.
Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Followers Will Cause the Moral Values of Islam to Prevail All over the World
Banu Amin narrates about the verse, from Muhammad al-Bakr: “These are the friends of HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WHO WILL [SPIRITUALLY] CONQUER THE EAST AND THE WEST IN THE END TIMES.” (The Mahdi in the Qur’an According to Shiite Commentators, Ansariyan Press, Iran, p. 75, August 2008)
The followers of Imam-e-Zamaan [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] will be NOBLE, LEARNED AND RULERS OF THE EARTH. ('Al-Fetan Wa Al-Malahem for Ibn Kathir, p. 205)
Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Followers Will Be Instrumental in the Name of Allah Being Heard Everywhere in the World
Under the influence of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers, there will be a massive returning to faith across the world. They will praise the name and glory of Allah everywhere and will cause the moral values of Islam to rule over the entire world.
The hadith referring to the words “There is no deity but Allah and Muhammad is His prophet” being echoed and heard everywhere indicates that Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) preaching of the moral values of Islam will constantly be on the agenda in the press, on the internet and television and radio and in the papers; in short, everywhere.
Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) followers will show people the truth of creation, and compare fossils of plants and animals and their counterparts living today. In this way, by Allah’s leave, they will neutralize Darwinism and materialism.
By Allah’s leave they [the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as)] WILL BRING THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE...(Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 318; Mikyaal al-Makaarem, Vol. 1, p. 148 from Basaaer al-Darajaat)
Hazrat Mahdi (as) and His Followers Will Be Highly Effective through the Strength Bestowed on Them by Allah
As revealed in the hadiths, Allah will make Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers superior to and victorious over everyone on Earth.
Hazrat Mahdi (as) will set his works out with very clear and irrefutable evidence from the Qur’an and science; all the atheistic philosophical systems will be intellectually annihilated in the face of this evidence.
HE [HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)] WILL FILL THE EARTH WITH JUSTICE, LIGHT AND CLEAR PROOF. All countries will obey him and bow their heads to him. So much so that all the unbelievers will believe and all the wicked will be sincere servants (wicked people will be guided and be sincere Muslims.). (Al-Hurr al-Amili, Ithbat al-Hudat, Vol. 7, p. 49)
His [Hazrat Mahdi’s (as)] friends are heroic, select, pure and devout people, WHO STRIVE HARD IN OBEDIENCE. THEY ARE ALWAYS VICTORIOUS IN WHATEVER WORK THEY TURN TO... (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 279 and Vol. 53, p. 12; Sheikh al-Saduq, Kamal al-Din, Vol. 2, p. 367)
